About The Radio Lady:
Marsha Washington George, Broadcasting Major, and Library Science
Minor
is a writer of lyrics, novels, and scripts. Marsha has spent
several
years interviewing and meeting true icons of the
entertainment
industry.
Her
present project, “Black Radio-Winner Takes All”...
is
written on a subject which hasn't been given enough credit or
dedication.
Marsha proficiently tells the story behind the pioneers
of black radio. The first DeeJays!
Marsha’s Uncle, Adrian
Kenneth
Knight, known across the southern portion of the country as
“Ken
Knight”, was one of the Original Thirteen, a member of “The
Bad
Boys” as coined, by “Jack The Rapper”.
Marsha’s research on
the
subject convinces all that too much time has passed to tell a
rich
portion of black history and gives the reader a prolific
insight
into the lives of community heroes.
